Registered Solar PV Investor (RPVI) Directory

A Registered Solar PV Investor (RPVI) is a company officially recognised by SEDA Malaysia to finance, own, or invest in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems under programmes such as Net-Energy Metering (NEM). RPVIs help customers adopt solar without paying high upfront costs by offering models like leasing or power purchase agreements (PPA), where the investor funds the installation and the customer pays only for the energy generated.

To qualify, companies must meet SEDA’s requirements — including minimum paid-up capital, annual listing fees, and compliance with a strict Code of Ethics — ensuring that only credible and responsible investors operate in the solar industry. This framework helps protect consumers while accelerating Malaysia’s transition to clean energy.
